Transform Education in Kenya with Daniela Zapata
Raising awareness and funds for 100 children in Kenya - all through the power of a story.
We believe in impact. We believe that content can be a tool to change the world. Because of this, the P&M team has pledged to use our resources for causes we are passionate about, and do what we do best: amplify big ideas. Transform Education is an initiative through which Daniela Zapata aimed to change the lives of children in Kibera, the biggest slum in Kenya. As part of our partnership, we created a piece of content that sought to raise awareness and fund Daniela’s ambition to sponsor the schooling of 100 children.
The Process
The video production process used material recorded in Kenya during Daniela’s volunteering experience. Focus was placed on powerful imagery and inspiring music that supports the script and creates the emotional impact needed to light a spark in the audience.
The Impact
The video was so well received by the public that not only did Daniela manage to raise enough funds to change the lives of 100 children - she also set out to launch an NGO that now helps children in Colombia access education.
